We are very excited to introduce you to the new The Londog! The Londog dog blog has finally undergone the BIG restyling we had dreamt of for a long long time. We hope you like the new design as much as we do and you will find the content easier to navigate. As always, we hope the blog helps you enhance your and your dog’s lives and unlock the dog-friendly potential of London!
The Londog dog blog 2.0
So what’s new? Our old website (for how much we loved its minimalism) was really very basic and not very user-friendly, with contents a bit lost in the blog post roll, so one of the things we looked at was giving you some more powerful tools to find what you are looking for.
The new homepage still features the latest blog posts, but there are also some additional sections: featured things to do in London with your dog that will change each month, the latest edition of the Office Dog Series and, last but not least… a handy at-a-glance list of all dog events up on a particular week!
Discover the new features
The restyling has also involved all the other pages and we have some new interesting functionalities that we hope will better serve your needs!
Things to do in London with your dog
We have a big focus on dog-friendly things to do in London, so if you head over to the Things to Do page you will discover that you can filter contents picking a particular area of London, as well as choose between outdoor and indoor activities (we are just fixing a couple of things in the filter so bear with us)! This will make it easier for you to plan your weekend and make the most out of all the great things to do in London with your hound!
Dog-friendly London
Also, if you visit the Dog-friendly London page, you will find some icons that will help you finding what you are looking for! Dog-friendly museums, stores, eateries, cafes, hangouts, sports… basically the whole range! While some of the categories still have few posts, we are looking to add more for each to help you discovering all the best in the capital and answer to the many queries we receive from readers about dog-friendly places in town.
Office Dog Series
Also the Office Dog Series‘ page has a new look. Now you can browse the previous editions with ease and submit your office dog’s candidacy to participate in the Series, as well as connect with The Londog on LinkedIn.
“ Meet our cover dogs! Lyanna for Things to Do, Stella in Dog-friendly London, Edie and Alba for the Office Dog Series, Argo leads up the Enclosed Dog Park page, and, of course, there is Jarvis keeping everything together on the homepage!
Enclosed Dog Parks
The Enclosed Dog Parks page is finally tranformed into a comprehensive hub! All the dog parks reviews are now in one place, along with a handy map with markers to help you finding the closest dog exercise area (if you like the map you will appreciate some more forthcoming maps – stay tuned!). We also have a dedicated section for latest updates about dog parks, which is at the service of the community, to publicise public consultations, petitions, issues within dog parks, promoting dog parks play dates and meet-ups etc, so feel free to flag anything that the could be good for the community to be aware of/be invited to participating. We would also love to faciliate the organisation of litter and dog mess picking events in dog areas and parks.
Dog Events Calendar
The Dog Events Calendar is still there, of course, nothing has changed! As you will know if you have liked our Facebook page, we run our London Dog Events Weekly Round-Up on social every week, and, over the Summer we had launched The Londog Pack Friday, our weekly newsletter that allows you to stay in the loop with all the latest from us, blog posts, tips, offers, and also all dog events for the following 2 WEEKS! Just in case you like to plan your weekends in advance! You can sign up here if you haven’t yet!
There is more, but I don’t want to spoil it all! So have a tour of the new website yourself (PS start here)! I’d really love to hear what you think of the new website and feel free to send us any suggestions to further improvement!
And if you like the new The Londog… tell your human & dog friends! š
Best wishes and woofs.
Yours
Cristina & Argo
