Hundreds of Dachshunds joined the Sausage Dog Parade, a sausage dog ‘meat up’ organised within the celebrations of Smithfield Market’s 150th anniversary, with Sausage Walk London, on Saturday 25th August 2018. Sun and rain, barks and cuddles, this is how it looked like.

Culture Mile – a partnership of four leading UK arts, culture and learning institutions led by the City of London Corporation- takes over the markets in Smithfield as well as the surrounding streets, lanes and hidden spaces around Farringdon for a FREE, fun-filled festival spectacular, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Smithfield Markets.

As part of the weekend’s festivities, Sausage Dog owners (as well as other dog owners) are invited to a fun Sausage Dog ‘Meat Up’ on the afternoon of Saturday 25 August, a relaxed opportunity for dachshund fans to meet other dogs and owners.

In particular, Smithfield in association with #SausageWalkLondon (with Mildred and George the sausages) is organising the Sausage Dog Parade, starting at 2.30pm, down Smithfield Market’s Cloth Fair making dachshunds the rightful stars of the Smithfield 150 celebrations! Meet outside the Rising Sun Pub, 38 Cloth Fair, EC1A 7JQ from 2pm for a 2.30pm start!

After the Sausage Dog Parade the party is continuing at The Happenstance, at 10 Paternoster Square, St Paul, EC4M 7DX!

Mad Hatters Flea Party (for sausage dogs)

The Mad Hatters Flea Party organised by Sausage Social London is happening on 17th June 2018 from 12 to 4pm at the Wellington Pub in Fulham. The event is open to sausage dogs (only) and will raise funds for the Red Foundation (Emergency Dachshund Rescue UK).

100 golden tickets released for charity selling on 16th April 2018 from 9am. All proceeds go to charity, tickets £18.50 available here.

The theme of the event is Alice in Wonderland with prizes for the best costume.

Sausage Stroll Against Stroke

Join the sausage dogs for a fundraising dachshund walk and raffle in aid of the Stroke Association in connection with the London Marathon 2018, on Sunday 8th April 2018. The stroll will start at 11.30am and the meeting point is at Temperance Fountain, on Clapham Common.

The walk is free to participate to, while raffle tickets cost £2 each or £8 for a strip of 5 tickets and can be purchased on the day Raffle tickets can be purchased on the day (cash only) or donated directly to the @sausagestrollagainststroke JustGiving page which link can be found on the @sausagestrollagainststroke Instagram page (in such case please reference your name/dachshunds name.
