Visitors to the website

This website uses a third-party service, WordPress. WordPress requires visitors who want to post a comment to enter their name and email address and records their IP address. We process this information for the purposes of dealing with the comment. This website also uses a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone and for the purpose of improving the website.

The features we use from WordPress.com and Google Analytics use cookies. Some cookies are necessary for the website to work correctly. Analytic cookies help us understanding how the website it used and providing you a better user experience. Comments to the blog

When leaving a comment on the website, visitors are asked for their name and email address. Whilst the email address will not be displayed in the text of the comment, the system will record it along with the visitor IP address. We may contact you to respond to your comment/query. We will not communicate your email address to any third party, nor use it for other purposes which are not strictly related to your comment/query.

Your personal data is stored securely on databases/servers/documents. These are maintained either by us or by our third-party service providers.We adopt technical security measures to ensure that the personal data processed is secure and devices and systems utilised are protected. Our website uses the Https protocol.

Mailing list

For our mailing list we use an external provider: Mailchimp. When joinig the mailing list you will be asked to confirm that you give consent to receiving emails from us, as required by the current legislation. You can unsubscribe at any time from receiving emails by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ hyperlink at the bottom of any email. The information you provide when signing up (name and email) will be also processed through Mailchimp’s system.

Social media

We have a social media presence. For each social media platform, please note that their terms & conditions and privacy policy applies. In respect to Facebook, please note that the platform collects data regarding the interaction of visitors (users and non-users) with the fan page. Aggregated data, in a way it does not directly identify anyone, is provided as ‘insights’ to fan pages’ administrators. Facebook collects and provides aggregated standard information about gender, age group, location and language, interaction with the page of followers. Please read Facebook’s data policy.
