Picturehouse Central, in Piccadilly, hosts dog-friendly cinema screenings and they are proving to be a howling success by all means! Last Sunday took place another fabulous screening open to four-legged friends, which made sold out well before the date.
Earlier this year, the Picturehouse Central started offering a regular appointment for dog owners, inviting them to bring their dogs along at special matinee screenings. With Argo we had a wonderful time at the August edition of the screening (showing “The Big Sick”) and reviewed it in a blog post. Absolutely one of the best events ever!
Last Sunday I popped by again and met so many lovely dogs (more photos coming on our Facebook page)! This time the film shown was “The Party” (Picturehouse Central tries and picks the latest releases for this awesome appointment).
General Manager of Picturehouse Central, Kathryn Smith, explains that they recently decided to cap the number of people and dogs allowed through the door, in order to avoid overcrowding and giving the dogs can have a bit of room. So it comes to no surprise that the cinema registered sold out for last weekend’s show!
You will have to be quick and book the ticket for the next screening, which will take place on 10th December (the film shown will be “Paddington 2”, so a great choice for families as well!). More information about the next dog-friendly screening is available here! See you there!
Do you want to know another great news? Given the success of the event, another cinema of Picturehouses’ circuit has started offering dog-friendly screenings too: the Crouch End one! As soon as they release the next dog-friendly screenings’ date we will add it to our Dog Events Calendar!

Do you have more pictures or video from this screening? Would love to see if my dog was in any frames!
Hi Ray, what dog is it? I can have a look. No videos though, the TV filming was a Brazilian one.
