Sat 25 August 2018 | 2:30 pm - 5:00 pmFree
UPDATE (26/08/2018): The blog post about the event is coming soon on the blog. In the meantime, you can check the pre-parade Facebook live video here. The Sausage Dog Parade is THE dog event you were waiting for. Cancel all your plans on 25th August and join what is going to be a spectacular one!
Culture Mile – a partnership of four leading UK arts, culture and learning institutions led by the City of London Corporation- takes over the markets in Smithfield as well as the surrounding streets, lanes and hidden spaces around Farringdon for a FREE, fun-filled festival spectacular, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Smithfield Markets.
As part of the weekend’s festivities, Sausage Dog owners (as well as other dog owners) are invited to a fun Sausage Dog ‘Meat Up’ on the afternoon of Saturday 25 August, a relaxed opportunity for dachshund fans to meet other dogs and owners.
In particular, Smithfield in association with #SausageWalkLondon (with Mildred and George the sausages) is organising the Sausage Dog Parade, starting at 2.30pm, down Smithfield Market’s Cloth Fair making dachshunds the rightful stars of the Smithfield 150 celebrations! Meet outside the Rising Sun Pub, 38 Cloth Fair, EC1A 7JQ from 2pm for a 2.30pm start!
After the Sausage Dog Parade the party is continuing at The Happenstance, at 10 Paternoster Square, St Paul, EC4M 7DX![Description and image by the organisers]
