Sandford Parks Lido Dog Swim
Sat 12 October 2019 | 9:00 am - Sun 13 October 2019 | 5:00 pm£10
Sandford Parks Lido, Cheltenham, is pleased to announce that canine friends will be getting another opportunity to have a splash in the Lido on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October 2019. Please note, this is at the end of our season and following all human swimming sessions. An opportunity for our barking friends to have a paddle in the main pool of Sandford Parks Lido!
Some breeds of dog are naturals in the water and others sink like a brick – we are happy for you to enter the water with your dog if they need the help. If you’re at all unsure about your dog’s ability to swim in the water then please come ready and prepared to enter the water. You know your dog best. We insist on there being a minimum of one adult to one dog on entry to the site (adult aged 16+).
The Dog Swim is taking place at the end of our ‘cold water’ swimming period and as such the water temperature will be lower than our normal operating temperature of 25C – the temperature will have decreased to 21C on the weekend of the Dog Swim.
When you arrive at the Lido, we ask that you keep your dog on a lead whilst they are in the grounds and only let them off when they enter the water. Please be a considerate dog owner, cleaning up afterwards and also removing your dog away from any barking arguments. There will be lifeguards on dutym but their responsibility is for the safety of you in the water – the dog’s welfare remains the responsibility of the owner. You will be expected to sign a disclaimer upon entry to the site.
