Painting with Dogs | Pups, Paint and Prosecco
Sat 5 October 2019 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm£40
Pups, Paint, & Prosecco – What more do you want on a Saturday afternoon? Join Paws & Pause with Portrait Pals for a pup-painting extravaganza on 5th October 2019. In this fun, relaxed art class, you will have the opportunity to practice your drawing skills using live dog models.
The space is well equipped with tables and drawing boards, and the organisers provide all materials (including pens, pencils, paper, and watercolours). You are welcome to bring your own supplies if you prefer. There will be dogs on site for you to draw, but organisers encourage well-behaved dogs to come along for the afternoon!*
What the class will look like:
Over this two-hour drawing session, you will review the basics of figure drawing, practice 2-min pose sketches, and paint pet portraits using watercolour and ink. The gestural drawing portion of our class will be focused on the live animal, whereas the portrait section will be done from photographs taken on the spot. Should you choose to draw your own dog who is not with you on the day, feel free to bring photographs for your reference!
You will be able to take home the supplies you use, which include:
– x1 set of watercolours + paintbrush
– x1 Tombow brush pen
– x1 2B pencil
Also, no afternoon drawing session would be complete without:
– x2 glasses of Prosecco
All of which is included in the ticket price!
*please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you will be bringing your dog
