Doga & Gong Bath (on Zoom)

Sun 26 April 2020 | 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm

Sunday is for DOGA! Pug Cafe in collaboration with Mahny Djahanguiri will host an introductory class followed by Gong Bath led by Selma Studer.

Mahny is the founder of Doga (and author of Doga – Yoga For You & Your Dog) a human yoga practise that helps support the natural bond we have with our dogs. Furry friends can help owners enormously with their mental health and well-being so to help strengthen that sacred bond, she will be teaching a Virtual Introduction to Doga so owners can learn more.

Doga is lots of fun, can help de-stress both you and your dog, strengthen your bond, build trust and decrease anxiety and depression. Yes! Dogs can be depressed during lockdown too so come and feel the benefits to you both. You don’t need to be experienced in Yoga or Doga to join as this lesson is for complete beginners!

The class will end with a relaxing and restorative gong bath led by Selma Studer, founder of London’s first dedicated sound meditation studio, GONG. A gong bath is a form of sound therapy that can evoke a meditative state and help bring about balance to the body and mind. It’s a chance to tune in and ground yourself in sound.

Anyone with or without a dog can join the wellness weekend, you can join the Zoom Doggy Wellness Rave, Paws For Thought Wellness Room and Doga through Zoom as a participant or you can watch live through a Facebook stream.
