Canary Woof: Let Summer Fun Begin!

By July 6, 2017September 14th, 2018No Comments

Last Sunday took place the 2017 edition of the Canary Woof dog show, starting off another fabulous Summer month full of fun dog event around London. Last year it was of the first shows I covered on the blog, so I was very keen to meet this year’s contendants of the fun classes.

The Show

One of the best things of the Canary Woof is that, being part of the Limehouse Festival, there are always many food stalls, apart from stalls selling dog products etc. (oh, the smell of the barbecue…)! This makes it a date to write down and invite friends and family (for next year).

This year the sunny and very warm weather and a great turn out of doggies made this Canary Woof edition rather merry!

The show included fun categories such as Puppy, Golden Oldie, Miss Canary Woof and Mr Canary Woof. To judge the classes was invited dog behaviourist Robert Alleyne. One of the winners was Lily the black New Foundland, who was awarded the first place in Miss Canary Woof class (see photo below). Here you are a few pics from the show!

Not just dog classes… Some dogs found the land of milk and honey at the show, getting fussed by picnikers and looking for new faces to lick.

There was who got at the show first to secure a ringside seat…

… and who opted for a great spot by the hot dog truck (dog knows how many tasty bits may fall on the ground around there), like Frida the Grenchie, from Growlees collar charms!

Last but not least, dog charity All Dogs Matter was present with a stall and lovely Lolly, a fabulous redfox labrador puppy looking for a forever home (now apparently reserved).

Lolly, up for adoption with ADM
